Positive Birth Affirmations

I am a big believer in positive birth affirmations. In birth photography I have had several clients use positive birth affirmations and have seen how powerful they can be. When posting the question “What are some of your favorite birth affirmations?” on my Facebook page, here are a few of the responses that were posted.

I open, I soften, I release.

Women all over the world are birthing with me.

Birth can not be stronger than me because it is me.

My baby is coming.

Find strength in pain.

Every contraction brings me closer to my baby.

I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.

One of my home birth photography clients wrote out several scriptures on cards and then laminated them. This way she could use her positive birth affirmation cards while in the bath tub without worrying about ruining them. She also wore a bracelet with the words “For I declare the plans I have for you”, a promise from God the giver of life. I would encourage you to find the birth affirmations that resonate well with you and do them same!
