Are you sick of getting sick? Today I am sharing my Top 10 wellness hacks that I personally use to keep my body’s immune system supported. With so many germs going around I want to keep my immune system supported in a natural way.
Besides the obvious 2 of proper sleep and drinking water — the 8 items pictured below are wellness hacks and are big in my household for immune system support.
How much sleep do you get each night? I aim for 7-8 hours and try my best to go to bed at nearly the same time each night. In addition to that, I also try and get up around the same time each morning. And I cherish my quiet time with coffee and my Bible during the dark, stillness of morning. Try diffusing Lavender to create a restful environment.
Do you know the recommended amount of water to be drinking daily? I have heard to take your weight in lbs and half it, and that is the ounces you should be drinking. For example, if you weight 120lbs, that would be 60oz of water daily! Staying hydrated is important to our overall health and wellness. If you do not already have a glass water bottle, I would suggest investing in one. With using a glass water bottle you could add a drop of Grapefruit Vitality essential oil to your water for a refreshing, hydrating drink. Make sure to never put essential oils in a plastic water bottle!
Vitamins and probiotics are important for our overall health and wellness. I have found 3 with Young Living that I now take. Click on the name for a detailed product description.
Next up, Thieves foaming hand soap. I keep a a bottle at the kitchen sink, the kids’ bathroom and in our master bath room. I thought the hand soap I was buying previously was ok, as it was marketed as “all-natural” until I check it on the Think Dirty app. It was rated a 9, which is the absolute worst being filled with sulfates, dyes and synthetic fragrances. To go along with Thieves foaming hand soap, I made a simple DIY Thieves hand “sanitizer” spray. When out and about, I use this as a quick way to wipe off carts, restaurant menus, bathroom door knobs, etc. Not only does it smell amazing with essential oils like Clove, Lemon, Cinnamon, and Eucalyptus it also is effective at diminishing germs.
Have you heard of NingXia Red? It is a superfruit drink formulated by Young Living. It also has pure, essential oils in it. With adding NingXia into my day, I have cut out afternoon coffees. (On occasion though I’ll still grab a coffee from my favorite coffee stand because it’s fun.) NingXia Red offers many antioxidants which we know help support the immune system.
Lemon essential oil freshens the home with its cheerful aroma and can help cleanse the air of dirty particles that may float around. Lemon is a key ingredient in the Thieves cleaning line and I love that my kids can use it to clean without harmful side affects. Eucalyptus essential oil is cleansing and purifying. During the winter months it is a must have in the household. Eucalyptus is a main ingredient in Young Living’s R.C. blend, which is for all things respiratory. And also in the Breathe Again roll on.
